Coaltion Public Meeting

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well and settling into this Fall Season. We will be having a public meeting on Nov. 10th at 6:00PM at the Grand Junction Climbing Center. This will be a great opportunity for new and old members to get up-to-speed with what the coalition has been working on over this summer. From Bolt Replacement to more land acquisition, we have topics to explore! As always we will also be selling our T-shirts. Following the movie, the Climbing Center will be viewing the new Climbing Flick "THE SCENE" (http://vimeo.com/23320585). There will also be copies of the move for sale. Admission to this movie will be 10$ per person. If you attend the movie you will receive one free raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets are 5$ and go to the WCCC.

Please bring your wallets and anyone who may be interested in our organization. Stay for the movie and show support for the Grand Valley's best climbing gym!

See you all there,

Jesse Zacher

New Mothers Buttress Parking Lot

On the 22nd of August we broke ground on the construction of phase one of the Mothers' Buttress Parking Lot. After lots of fund raising (thank you REI, ACCESS FUND, and of course MEMBERS!) we were able to get this project started. I would like to give a huge thanks for Dave Foley for coming out and volunteering his time as a surveyor for the per-construction work. Here are a few pictures of the construction. Hopefully we will be able to get phase 2 going soon to provide more space for parking. Please pass along the good word that we should start parking in our very own PARKING LOT!
Hope everyone is climbing,
Jesse Zacher

First Ever Coalition Bouldering Night

Hello Everyone,
Here are a few pictures from our bouldering night last Tuesday the 23rd. We had a great turn out, more than 25 people crawled around the boulders at Dynamite Shacks. It was great to see so many people together. I would like to thank the Grand Junction Climbing Center for really endorsing attendance to the bouldering night and even shutting down the gym for the even! Thank you so Much! The next bouldering night will be soon, so stay posted and please attend if you can. As always, everyone of any skill level is welcome to attend!
-Keep climbing

Jesse Zacher
